The St. Charles Borromeo parish family gathered in joy and thanksgiving on Sunday, September 7, following the 11:00 AM Mass, to celebrate a momentous occasion in the life of the Church and in the life of the local community.
Our Adoration Chapel, which had long been dedicated to Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, is now officially under the patronage of Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati, canonized that very day by Pope Leo XIV in Rome. Known as the “Man of the Beatitudes,” Frassati’s life of prayer, charity, and devotion continues to inspire Catholics around the world, and his canonization was welcomed with great rejoicing.
Adding to the significance of the day, it was also the first weekend of ministry for Father James Adams in the Branch Collaborative. After Mass, Fr. Adams blessed parishioners with a relic of the newly canonized saint, offering a powerful and personal connection to this holy intercessor.
“This was truly a blessing for our parish community,” parishioners shared, reflecting on the grace-filled day that united the global Church’s celebration with the joyful welcome of a new shepherd in the Collaborative.
As the community looks forward with hope and faith, it does so under the patronage of its newly canonized patron:
St. Pier Giorgio Frassati… pray for us!
